I just saw the documentary about octogenarian New York fashion photographer Bill Cunningham. The film moved me and inspired me to the brink of tears and I'm not quite sure why. Sure, it might be easy to photograph interesting fashion on the streets of NYC. Can it be done in Boise, Idaho? I think so. I want to try...

Can I find these on the streets of Boise? As I write this, I look out the window and see a girl with neon pink hair and dark roots. She is wearing a maroon t-shirt with teal accents, and brightly colored shorts. Yeah, I think I can.
I'm not setting out to create a fashion blog, where I write witty commentary on the "look" of the season. But I do want to capture the feel of downtown Boise, one of my favorite places in the world.

Stay tuned...
